Welcome to the website of the Actuarial & Financial Society in University College Dublin. The society has just concluded its 25th session and is currently seeking sponsorship for the 2018-19 academic year. To discuss a sponsorship agreement with the society please contact Auditor Ciarán O’Donnell at firstname.lastname@example.org
The A&F Society was set-up in 1992 with four objectives:
- To establish and maintain healthy relations with the actuarial and financial industry.
- To present and promote the course amongst prospective employers.
- To provide a framework within which students can meet socially and develop strong relationships that will last through university and on into their future careers.
- To provide students with career focused events that equip them with the knowledge and tools needed to pursue a career in the actuarial and financial industry.
Each year at the society AGM a new society committee is elected. The 2018-19 society committee is as follows:
Ciarán O’Donnell – Auditor
Kevin Dunne – Vice-Auditor
Eoin Stack – Treasurer
Elizabeth Fee- Secretary
Jim Morrissey – PRO
Siobhán Carty – Careers Co-ordinator
We also wish to say thanks to the outgoing committee, who made the 2017-18 academic year such a huge success. This committee was made up of Kevin Boonstra, Órlaith Lehane, Andrew Dowd, Caroline Breen and Niall McCarthy. We wish them all the best in their future endeavours.
